Komal Tarte is a photographer, visual artist and educator based in Pune, India. Her practice moves between photography and experimental image-making, with an interest in memory, intimacy, observation and the everyday. Her work explores personal experiences, relationships and the mundane details of ordinary life, often through documentary and observational approaches. She is interested in the ways images can hold traces of lived experience and become a means of looking more closely at people, places and relationships.

Komal is available for assignments, commissions, workshops and collaborations across India and the wider Asian continent.
