A belated beginning

An attempt to create the missing family vacation albums, taking my parents on trips that were once out of reach. A belated beginning, documents their experience of travelling for leisure and exploration, perhaps for the first time in their lives.

Somewhere soft to land

Somewhere Soft to Land, is an ongoing project about loneliness. It unfolds within the domestic, my home, my everyday surroundings as I try to make sense of the gnawing feeling that lingers even when I am not alone. These photographs trace my attempts to find comfort in familiar patterns. It is a search for gentleness in the everyday and for fragments that might hold me when people cannot.

Please make yourself comfortable

Please Make Yourself Comfortable explores intimacy found in moments of everyday stillness. The series features photographs of empty chairs, found across a range of everyday settings. Without their occupants, these forms become profoundly suggestive. They are surfaces that still hold the warmth of a recent sitter or stand ready for the vulnerability of an expected guest.

The series was born from a simple, personal impulse: to answer the silent call for respite that every empty chair seemed to extend. Photographing them became a necessary act of participating in stillness when the surrounding world felt overwhelming. Through these scenes, the work probes the nature of connection. It asks us to visualise the unseen conversations that unfolded there and to feel the tranquility of someone sitting alone. The chairs offer an open invitation to the viewer, suggesting that intimacy can be held not just through touch, but through the silent act of holding space.
